Happy Blue House and a Mystery Felt Project

I made this cutesy house/box in my pottery class. I'm on a pottery hiatus for a bit since autumn is typically a nutty busy season for me.

And these felt medallions are part of a project i almost have done. I should be able to post the completed picture this weekend. I have such a soft spot for working with felt.

Odds and Ends

Here's the platypus I made for my monsters. I'll do a family portrait once I get his leash made.

And here's the endless stars I've been working on. I'll have to make myself stop with the star-making and start with the garland-stringing before this gets even more out of hand.

Most people in my pottery class are making vases and bowls....

I'm making skulls and monsters. Here's my most recent creations.

I consider the above two to be a couple. I have a little platypus that's their pet, but he still needs fired.

This guy I'm calling Nostrils. I originally intended just to hang him on our patio, but now I'm considering attaching him to a canvas and painting a scene around him.

Skulls!

Its snowing outside. I hate that so very much. In order to distract those of you who are also suffering from the snow. Look! Skulls! Yep, everyone in pottery class thinks I'm odd, but they are all destined for funky arty canvases for me to hang about my place. Cause everyone's home needs more skulls.

Pottery Class Skulls and More

I'm hooked on puffy origami stars. I'm envisioning a humongo garland of them that I can drape around a room - or maybe just my ficus tree if the urge goes away. Pottery class update! Here's two of the skulls I made plus a litlle cat head. I'm going to incorporate them into a day of the dead art project. People in my pottery class are starting to give me strange looks.
Here's the other two. I promise that I'm working on my lackluster photography skills. Promise!
And a little pot I did. The glazing isn't great, but I'm learning and having fun. Not much else counts in my book.

Necklace Tiles

I've been puttering away at a pottery class lately. Not a talent that's coming easy to me, but I am really enjoying working with clay. The wheel is still a bit intimidating though. Here's the results so far:

I've had a bit of a snail obsession lately.

This was a happy accident. I smudged colors on there that were never intended for that tile. I love the effect though.

The far right one was a gift for my sister in Texas. Thought it was cute.

And this bowl is the first piece outta my class. A little lopsided, but cute.
